Summary

Leif Oppermann is a researcher in the Mixed Reality Lab at the University of Nottingham. He studied Media Informatics at the Hochschule Harz (FH) in Wernigerode. His diploma thesis, about Interaction Surfaces in Augmented Reality, was awarded the best of faculty prize in 2003.

He is currently researching into improving authoring tools for location-based applications by visualising the ubiquitous infrastructure, which is also the topic of his proposed PhD thesis. A full scientific paper about this approach has recently been presented at the Ubicomp 2006 conference.

Leif has been involved in the making of Mixed Reality Games such as “’Ere be Dragons”, “Tycoon”, “Epidemic Menace” and most recently “Lovecity”.
