Research Interests: Summary
I have just started my first year of my PhD. Before starting my PhD I worked on coding and trialled Bill, the first seamful game. I am currently working on three novel seamful games: Bill, Monopoly and Yoshi. The core of my own thesis work is involved with the presentation of self in every day life and in gaming; both in the physical and digital realms. I am particularly interested in the manner in which information about sign-equipment, such as physical possessions, can be represented in digital media. For example, in games information about scores and a user's inventory is often displayed to other player's - I am interested about how physical information about a user, such as clothing, may be viewed by others in an online environment. |
