Michael McCarthy
Research Interests: Summary
Michael McCarthy is an Equator funded research assistant and PhD student in the University of Bristol's Mobile and Wearable Computing Group. His PhD explores novel approaches to ultrasonic position sensing for wearable computers. His research interests lie in the areas of mobile and ubiquitous computing; in particular, context sensing and wearable interfaces. Michael is due to complete his PhD at the end of 2006. He has just recently joined the Mixed Media Grid (MiMeG) group at the University of Bristol, where he will continue his research on context sensing for enhanced interfaces. He has a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta. He is a member of the IEEE, the ACM and APEGGA. |
