John Bowers

Research Interests:

John is concerned with the design and experience of innovative technologies, particularly in public spaces and domestic settings.

John has contributed to the fields of Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) and Human Computer Interaction (HCI) for over 15 years with particular concern for the use in design of social scientific research methods such as ethnography and interaction analysis. John also works as a musician and sound artist with an especial interest in improvisation, hardware hacking and innovative instruments and performance environments.
