Summary

Adrian Friday is a senior lecturer in the Computing Department at Lancaster University. Having graduated from the University of London, he was awarded a PhD at Lancaster University in the area of distributed systems support for mobile computing. A founder member of the Department's Mobile Computing Group he has managed numerous projects in the area of mobile and ubiquitous computing, including the Mobile Multimedia, Guide II and EU FET CORTEX project, and disseminated the results of his research widely in both international conferences and journals. He contributes actively to the research community, was the general chair for IEEE WMCSA 2004 and is on the programme committee of numerous conferences and workshops including ACM MobiHoc 2005. Adrian is a co-investigator on the EU funded Simplicity project and is one of Lancaster's principal investigators on Equator.
