Summary

Andrew Calway is a senior lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Bristol, specialising in Computer Vision. Previously he has worked at the Universities of Warwick, Cardiff and Linkoping in Sweden, where he was a Royal Society visiting researcher. His research activities have included work on multi-resolution image processing, video compression, stereo analysis and motion estimation and tracking. More recently, he has concentrated on problems in 3-D structure from motion and real-time camera localisation and mapping, particularly using Kalman and particle filtering techniques.
