Research Interests: Summary
My research interests stemming from my PhD are in the area of Visual Attention, Distributed VR and Collaboration within VE. I am working in the ubiquitous computing field and am interested in technologies related to maps, visualisation on mobile devices and GPS - and anything challenging. Project contributions: • Adaptation of the George square system to UCL porting to Linux and PDA (pocket PC 2002) • Have extended the George Square system to apply visibility processing to prioritize recommendations that are probably visible to the user based on real geometry from maps. • Design of content creator for the GS system (emphasis on photo and visibility of buildings) • C# .NET CF port (rather reimplementation) of GSQ-pocket PC version • Mapservices for on the fly map generation from spatial databases (Oracle and postgis) • Webservices for the new GSQ system • Photo based navigation system |
